I use my 99 Tahoe on the beaches of New Jersey for surf fishing. Over the last 2 years the front side windows, drivers and passenger, have some shallow scratches on them from sand in the window seal rubbing on the glass when the windows went up and down. I'm wondering if the scratches can be taken out. Or will the auto glass shops will just say they have to replace them ?
Has anyone had this problem before or scratches removed from side windows, and what the costs would be. I'm not sure if it will be cheaper to just replace the windows.
I figured I ask here before calling an auto glass shop.
