i have a 1999 tahoe with 139,000 miles on it. i was wondering if anyone has used sea foam in the tahoe. is there any pluses or minues to using sea foam? i was wondering because i think my injectors are dirty and want to clean them out.

unknown at this time.
I have not needed it myself but is a great product but use it to clean the intake system as described in link below only.

do not just pour it down the brake booster line.

As far as cleaning the injectors I strongly recommend you use a direct injection canister type cleaner that connects directly to the pressure test port while you disable fuel pump. That is the most effective cleaning method and if they are still dirty then replacement is required. even with this cleaning method the old design does not always come clean. In fact the warranty on the fuel injectors from factory was extended out to 10yrs/100,000 because of the design. There has been a redesign of the injector system so if you have some of the common problems with it then replace the spider assembly with the new one. http://www.amazon.com/Delphi-FJ10566-Fuel-Injector/dp/B000TYLIFS/. it is becoming a popular repair item here now and no complaints from here or amazons reviews.

No, no one has ever used SeaFoam on a Tahoe before, you will be the first. Let us know how it goes.

Watch out and plan on changing your plugs if you do it through the brake booster line. I did mine and it fouled some spark plugs horribly, check engine light was flashing it was so bad.

used the spray seafoam to do the intake before jumping into the updated spider swap. worked alright, but mine was reallly gunked up (190,000mi worth, took the machine shop 2 days to clean the lower intake). don't think your going to hit all cylinders with dumping it in the brake booster line. hit up the seafoam site and check out the spray made for the vortec's
