searching for a thread--need help

im wanting to do the auto-on delete mod and i cant find the thread it was in. im not sure if it was in a seperate topic thread or if it had a thread of its on. either way, i cant find it. im looking for the one where it shows how to stop the auto-on feature by jumping a couple of wires from underneath the dash. if anyone finds it or knows the mod please post it for me. i will also keep searching for it. thanks.

unless i'm reading it wrong, you can't just turn the knob to manual on ?

no, and to add to the question, im looking for the permenant way to turn off the auto-on. i know you can use the ebrake and also use the fog light button to turn the headlights off. thanks for any help.

I think I understand what your trying to do.

If you push the dome over ride button a few time you'll hear a few dings and then you can turn the light off and on when you want.

I hope that answers your question.

no it does not answer my question. i know how to do that already. what im looking for is the thread where some guy figured out how to use a jumper wire to connect two points of a wiring harness that diabled the auto-on feature.........still searching.....

thats one way to do it. i saw that one already but there is a thread somewhere around here or THF where you just jump two wires UNDER the dash to override the auto-on. thanks anyway.
