Seats - Leather or Artificial leather?

new to me 2022 yukon xl denali with the light shale interior. I was going to protect the seats with Colourlock. They offer a treatment for leather and one for artificial leather. Anyone know if the seats are real leather or a leatherette? curious because supposedly it makes a difference. thx.

Leather in rows 1-2, plastic leather in row 3.
This is only true of Denali and Escalade.
Lower GMC trims and all Chevys have plastic leather in rows 2-3, and parts of the row 1 seats.

Real and fake leather comes with a protectant layer from the factory. Just use water and microfiber to clean. Most cleaners will remove this layer or damage it.

Not true, the Escalade Sport Platinum comes leather all 3 rows.

That is true, the higher trims of the Escalade come w/ all three rows leather...but the lowest Escalade trim does not get full leather.
