I am not able to get pics becasue the truck is still at my buddys shop.
I put in the drop kit and it rode decent.
I also put on the 24s with new tires and an allignment.
Tire shop told me 2 wheels are bent a lil bit.
Once I drove the whole truck wobles and you can feel every lil bump.
Also, service traction control light is on?
Why do you guys think it rides really rough and wobley??
I will post pics when I brink the truck home.

Thanx

Tires are not balanced and if they are bent it might make it really hard to balance them. Try having them balanced and rotated......... if they say it's aligned and the everything is installed right, that's my best guess.

Feeling every bump is probably the 24's especially if you are running 40's or 35's....price you pay for rollin big and low.........

If you went up to 24"s AND you dropped the truck 4-5" AND two wheels are bent, then, geez, I can't imagine why it wouldn't feel wobbly.

Just the bent wheels alone could make things feel off.

I have a 3/5 drop on 24s and the truck rides a tad better up front than it did with 20s and a 2/3 spring two months ago.
The McG 4" front kit is not exactly the smoothest riding thing out there, mainly due to the 2" drop coils as part of the 4".

Also when you say bent, do you mean damaged bent, or cambered in bent on the front?
The service traction control lights are coming from either the disconnecting of the traction control plugs from one or more of the wheel areas, or from the actual damage of one of the wires while the truck was lowered.

I drove the truck with stock 20s and dropped 4/5 and it rode decent
bust once I put the 24s with brand new tires, the wobbling is just bad.
Shop told me the allignment is perfect but the 2 wheels are bad and we put those in the back and the back bounces but steering wheel is nice and smooth and no shaking in the front. I will try to put the rear stocks and see what happends tonight.
I found a local shop to repair wheels for $100 each and I need 2 repaired.
Has anyone done wheel repairs and are they able to repair them where no wobling and shaking happends.
Would you guys try to repair them or just waste $ and get new ones?

Thanx

I would try and repair personally. Try and go to a discount tire with a roadforce balancer. Then instruct the shop to rotate the tires around the wheel 45deg at a time. That will ensure you get the best balance for the tire/wheel imperfections.

Unfortunately, you're going to have some really good front wobble until you get a steering damper 1st. If you have over 100k miles, absolutely expect it. Try replacing some of the front steering components 2nd.

On the rears, what kit did you go with? If you have DJM or Mcgaughys, those springs are not progressive rate springs - which means you are riding on really harsh springs. Get some shock extenders and 2in drop shocks instead of the 3in+ drop shocks that you probably have. That will reduce the side load on the shocks and allow the shock to travel upwards/downwards at a better angle to improve comfort level.

You can always turn off TC and ST before you drive. Start the truck and old the traction control button down for 6 seconds in park.

I personally wouldn't get 26s to fix the issue, it sounds like you need to disable it and have a shop look at the system. ETC (Elec Traction Control) is a complicated system, I would take mine to the dealer if it was acting up that bad.

Go to a local auto parts store like Autozone, have them pull the codes. It sounds like you need to recalibrate the computer for the bigger wheels.
