In prepping our Suburban for a camper conversion, we may have removed the interior a bit hastily.

The other day we extracted the 2nd and 3rd row seats, the middle piece of carpet/pad, and the rear driver side interior paneling, along with the 2nd row seat belt on the driver side.

We didn't unplug any wires, nor did we see anything electrical for that matter.

Could anything we touched have led to the airbag light, or is it more likely just a coincidence?

Seatbelts are part of srs system and removing one will cause an airbag light. Put the seatbelt back in and see if your problem goes away.

So it seems the airbag light might've just been a coincidence. Went on a longer drive today and there was no sign of it.

Well a week later and after dismantling more of the interior (removed the center console yesterday), the airbag light is on again. The only stuff I unplugged for the console was connected to the USB & 12v port, inputs for the DVD, and the rear climate control. None of that should affect the SRS as far as I'm aware.

What do I need to scan for SRS codes?

I don't think there are any sensors for the rear occupants. There was nothing electrical on the seats nor was there any sensor on the seatbelt I removed. So unless this car has some type of wireless sensor (RFID?) there's no way the truck knows the seats/door panels are removed

When we were cleaning the carpets and removing the console, we were in the car for a few hours and there's a good chance we bumped something. I'm planning to inspect the connectors under the seat and see if anything looks off.

Is there a wiring diagram readily available for the front seats?

I need to pull the driver seat in thecopcar to see what I can do with the adjustment tracks. Access is part of my challenge plus the time to really understand the harness down there.

I’m sure there’s a schematic, but i don’t have it.
