installed the arnott compressor. piece of cake, awesome product. still getting the service ride control message. unhooked the battery for a couple hours, still get message. every time i turn the car on, the compressor fires up. oddly overnight starts produce the quickest compressor activation/shutdown. random trips to and from the store even if the car is off for only a couple minutes result in a compressor activation. when the nose of the vehicle is below the rear (when parked on a decline) the compressor is activated for shorter amounts of time than when parked on an incline.
also....outside temperature does not affect the length of time the compressor activates, seemingly only incline/decline.
is there any way to test the sensors affiliated with the rear shocks?

where would i find replacement sensors?

thanks

Did you replace the rear shocks as well? If not, try spraying some soapy water on the shock bladder all over and see if you see/hear bubbles leaking out of the shock!! Betting the shocks are bad and that's why the old compressor died (that's what happened to me)!
I replaced the shocks and compressor with Arnott's stuff and the compressor hardly ever comes on anymore!!

ill try this tomorrow. Just wanting to try and diagnose this piece by piece before dropping more cash on the shocks. no they have not been replaced. i have waited because ive read of instances of compressor failure due to an open exhaust valve that leads to failure which i was hoping for.

thanks

Comfy, if you do need some shocks, I just took the rears off my truck and they're low mileage. Hopefully you don't need them.

Good advice, I would not put this off too long, or you risk burning up your new compressor. If your shocks are leaking, the compressor might be running while you are driving and you might not hear it over the road noise. It is not made to run constantly.

That's what happened in my situation, I waited too long to replace my shocks and that's what killed my compressor. Would suck to burn up the new compressor right off the bat!!
