Have a 2005 Yukon XL Denali. I've replaced the compressor and rear shocks (shocks were blown and the compressor was shot). Afterwards, I was still getting the "Service Ride Control" message. My mechanic pulled the body code, and told me that the rear passenger ride height sensor is not getting its 5V reference voltage. I pulled the sensor plug on the driver's side and I see 5V on the red/black wire. On the passenger side, the red/black wire has no voltage. My question, that I cannot find an answer to... where does this wire go? Underneath the vehicle, I can follow the wire from the plug over to the driver's side. But from there, I can't tell where it goes! Where does the 5V signal originate from? I really wanna fix this myself, but cannot trace this wire out! Arrrgggghhhh! Can anyone help?

That power should come from the BCM, wherever its located. Generally it controls all body related electronics, UNLESS, there is a designated suspension computer then it would come from there I would think.

I was thinking the wire would run from the sensor to the SCM (located in the very back, passenger side, behind a piece of trim). But when I traced it from the sensor, it went across to the driver's side then felt like it went into a bigger group of wires heading towards the front. The BCM is a possibility, I guess. Does anyone know where I would find that on a 2005 Yukon Denali XL? Also, would there be a problem just taking the 5V reference signal that IS making it to the rear driver's side sensor, tapping it and running it over to the passenger side? Thanks for any and all help with this!

According to the ebsco repair section (library auto repair reference online) the suspension control module is behind the Right rear quarter trim panel just like my 2002 denali. Got to remove the whole trim panel. The wiring from that module also goes to the bcm under the drivers kick panel under the steering wheel. Most likely the sensors go to the suspension control module and the serial data from that module would go to the bcm.
