Hey all,

Today while I was turning into the parking lot at work, I heard 3 dings and I saw the E-brake light as well as the Traction Control light illuminate. No check engine lights or anything. I haven't had a chance to diagnose it yet. I turned the vehicle off and back on, and the only light on is the traction control light.

Any ideas what it could be? I've read that it could be the following:

1) Brake Light Switch (I assumed not having a working cruise control was due to this issue, just never gave me any issues)
2) Steering wheel position sensor. Would there be a code for this?
3) Possible wheel speed sensor issues
4) Ground strap?

I may start with the brake light switch since I already have the part. Open to any input of things to check just in case I may have overlooked something.

Thanks!

Just went outside to scan codes... started it up and no lights. I guess I will keep an eye on things and see.

Just to post an update in case anyone searches for this in the future. I replaced the brake switch and it didnt fix the issue.

Ended up being low brake fluid. Topped it off and no message since. But I'm assuming I'll have to do brakes in the near future.

ya only 2 reasons for low brake fluid 1. a leak 2. previous brake job left fluid low. Even if the pads were worn down to nubs this shouldn't cause low fluid there is more than plenty of reserve in the reservoir.
