What is the whirring, servo noise when you enter the vehicle, prior to engine start, continuing after start???? New 2010 vehicle

What is the whirring, servo noise when you enter the vehicle, prior to engine start, continuing after start???? New 2010 vehicle

Is this with the key in the 'On' position but prior to starting? If so, you're probably hearing the fuel pump.

The only noise I hear like that is the navigation unit reading the map disc.
