Newb here. Just bought a 06 Z71 Tahoe with only 71k on the clock. I have searched the forum but cant find an answer. So here is my dumb question:
I have dual climate control, do I have to change the driver and passenger temp every time I want to adjust the temp and not use the auto function? Thanks!

If you hold the auto button it will adjust both sides. You will see 2 green arrows indicating both sides are the same temp.

When you touch the passenger temp button they become independent of each other until you hold auto again

Thanks for that. I didn't know it did that. I have been turning both knobs to keep them set to the same temp this whole time. I'm just OCD like that

It drove me crazy before I read the owners manual. My wife would do it on accident occasionally and i just HAD to know what caused it.
