Goodmorning all! Im hoping someone can shed some light on these subjects. Here it goes.

I get the black screen of death(lol) when the back up camera comes on. I searched and found one thread but would like some other input. What has been the major cause of this?? I already pulled everything apart to check for stable connections.

When the air ride pump comes on it sounds weak(lower rpm sound then my tbss). As the pump satisfies the suspension needs, it slows down to a click. click... click.......... click................................. click. After the last click I assumed I would hear a compressor release valve (like on my tbss), but i hear nothing. Is this pump similar to the pump in my tbss? Do you guys hear a compressor release valve ( like a blow off valve on a turbo car) that completes the pumps cycle?

Drivers front tpm is not functioning properly. It will work below say 50 mph, anything thereafter the service tpm light comes on, and that tire displays --- . Would it be safe to assume that just the tpm in the rim is weak/dying or is it the pick-up in the truck?

And last but not least lol. Yesterday, we were heading into the city (NYC) and I noticed the volt meter dropped from the std ~14.7V mark down to say the ~12.5-13.0V. It was a massive draw (im assuming, I didnt have any tools with me) that would not recover with added rpm, turning off electronics, etc. The kicker is that when I turned the truck off and started it right back up, the gauge read perfect again. Typically, when an alt. stops charging its finished. Has anyone had this before? What could be pulling enough amps to drop the V so much? Could it be related to the air ride compressor??

Thanks all for your time to read this novel!! :Handshake:

Chopping the list down. I just went to move my boat with it for the first time and the truck didn't raise a drop and the pump was just clicking, slow clicks. So its safe to say, the pump is shot. Ahh, the joys of a used vehicle :) Has anyone replaced theirs? Are there any special tools required or special fittings?

TIA!

I think I can offer some insight on the two above questions -

My guess on the TPMS is that the sensor is bad, or at least not functioning correctly. I cannot be certain, but that would be my guess based on your post.

That battery function, and the voltage seems to be normal. The charging systems in these vehicles only charges on an as needed basis. Meaning, the drop seems to be normal. Plus, I cannot be sure how accurate the meter reading is on these vehicles anyhow. Either way, there is nothing to worry about here.

Sorry I can't be of much help with the other questions! I am sure someone else can offer some insight. Good Luck!!
