Shale interior hard to maintain?

Does anyone have any long term feedback regarding the upkeep of the light-colored Shale interior?

I've had light interior in most of my vehicles... in my 01 Tahoe, 04 Esky, 05 sts, 07 yukon, etc. I've never had an issue with keeping it clean, although I'm not very dirty to begin with. I also have most of the products Adam's Polishes carries and keep it pretty clean.

I'm pretty clean as well. I'm not married nor have any kids so back seat passengers are a rarity. However, on just two or three occasions, I sat on the seat and over the course of a week, I noticed that my jeans were discoloring the left seat bottom bluish!

I did take some soapy water and a microfiber cloth and the seat did come clean. i'm just hoping that the seat dye is resilient and doesn't permanently discolor like this. I have no issue with wiping down the seats every so often.

BTW, the center armrest was showing discoloring as well from resting my arm on it. All of this in only 1500 miles!

I have light interior for the first time in my Escalade. I use it all the time for trips and also have 19 month old twins and I manage to keep it very clean as well. Like Nat said I use all Adams products for the interior.

For the center console showing discoloring with resting your arm on it, may be shower a little more.. lol JK. But get some Adams and it will come right out.

I have the light Shale interior in my Cadillac SRX (have had it for 3 years now) and it has been easy to keep clean. I use Gold Canyon eucalyptus cleaner. My interior still looks like new, however we have no kids at home anymore and I cover the seat when the dog goes with. Like the interior color so much we are getting this color in the Denali.

I have had a few light color interiors. I hate them....... yet always end up with them lol
