Welcome to the Forum from NH.

Lots of knowledgeable folks here who freely share their knowledge, experiences, and perspectives. Knowledge is power.

I hope that you will become a participating member in the Forum's discussions.

It is a sort of crapshoot when you buy a used vehicle. The outside of the truck certainly looks good from the one photo that you posted. One owner is good and available service records are a big plus. At 160,000 miles, your transmission will be getting long in the tooth, so you should plan on a transmission rebuild or replacement in the next 25,000 miles (but, it may never happen).

Thanks Joseph...Its just an LS with 2wd. They're asking 15,900 but to me thats a tad high when I'm seeing similiar LTZ 4wd with 130K or so for 17900...I was thinking of offering 13000 on this. Is that a fair offer to you?

It all depends on location. I did a quick search and seeing majority of ltz going mid 20s in lot of areas with around that mileage (and some with a fair bit less). Even at 15k thats more around what the police ones go for around here.

I was going by not only hi miles on trannie, but it also being a 2WD and a base LS...2wd in Illinois where I live arent even salable most times because everybody has to have 4wd, not that they'll ever use it. Also they have had this unit since HALOWEEN which further backs up my thoughts I'll give it a try worst thing they can do is say no or counter with a lesser offer
