Shuttering when accelerating

Hello, recently I have had an intermittent problem when driving on the freeway. Around 50 mph if I give it some gas to pass or speed up it will shutter and not downshift. If I let off and just give it a little gas, keeping the rpm around 1500 it is fine and after a mile or so will act normal.

Any ideas of what this could be?

Think I figured it out, it needs a tune up.

change fuel filter.

leaky ignition components can do that or a lack of fuel pressure.

It had a miss fire in the 6th cylinder.
