Hi, I'm new to both the forum and the vehicle. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.
I'm considering replacing the family minivan with a Suburban/Yukon XL. However, I have a couple concerns. Chief among them is side curtain airbags. I have four sons ranging in age from 12 to 2, so the third row would be used basically all the time. I like the feeling of security in having side curtain airbags all the way back as I have in the minivan. In my reading, I see that from 2008 on, they're standard in all Subs/XL's, but I don't see much explaining whether or not they were options before this time. A local GM dealer said they were an option, but didn't know on what years and I got the feeling he was just telling me what I wanted to hear...
So, does anyone know if/when side curtain airbags back to the third row became options for the Suburban/Yukon XL prior to the 2008 model year?
Thanks again.
