side fenders moldings on a Z71

Hey guys I'm new at this and i have a ? i have a 07 Tahoe with a Z71 look and on Thursday I'm taking them off and just getting a Tahoe look not a Z71. I need to know under the molding if the fender all black?

Liked the flares on my '02, and don't like them on the new body style. Looks too "Tundra" to me, I think.
