Hey Guys,

I have been driving my 15' Tahoe for the past year or so and currently my side view mirror dim is not working correctly.

While driving, the drivers side mirror will dim but not the passenger side? Anyone else have problem with this?

Also, I have read that a lot of you guys have been having issues with the mirror auto-folding feature and was curious to find out if anyone have a fix yet? I will be going to dealer tomorrow for an oil change so I will see if I can ask someone as well.

Thanks in advance,

Bighurk,
I noticed the same. However, in looking into it further, the Tahoe LTZ is not equipped with a passenger side dimming mirror. Seems cheap on a close to $70K vehicle. Serious GM bean counting there. I had a 2012 Durango and that had dimming on both sides. Even the Escalade doesn't have it. Here is the equipment list from a Yukon Denali:

Memory function and driver-side auto dimming.

Shewstring,

I found that out at the dealer couple days ago. Lol. I don't understand why you would only need one side with dim and not both sides?...

As for the auto fold feature of the side owe mirrors, they said they didn't know why it wasn't working. I know a lot of people have said theirs isn't working either on the forums but I can't seem to find a fix. They said that the HIDs that I have installed voids the warranty for the sideview mirrors... Somehow the wiring is causing the mirrors not to fold but from what I recall, the mirrors did not auto fold even before I got the HIDs in.

They only auto fold when you press and HOLD the lock button on the remote. Seems silly you can't program to do this automatically.

Thanks, I actually found that out when I did some research online. It just seems odd to me. The way it is named on the settings seem really misleading and the fact that only one side of the sideview mirrors have auto dim?...
