My new ride doesn't have an XM receiver so I called sirius today to cancel before my subscription renews for next month. I told then that I was canceling because I sold the ride with XM and the replacement doesn't have an XM receiver.

They offered me a XM receiver for $8 shipping so I could keep my account open. I haven't found anything online about this and was hoping to find more info or see if anyone else has had experience withthis receiver.

It's probably an add on with an antenna like everyone had back before they became pretty standard. Basically just a faceplate with an antenna, that you would use through your auxiliary input

I called to cancel 6 months ago for the reason that my XM receiver cuts out a lot since I live in the sticks. I really didn't want to pay full price for the subscription. So they gave me 7 months for $26 and sent me this for free to wire in and use instead of the stock unit.

It's still sitting here in the box since I don't want another device to have to control, not mention stick another antenna on the roof. Probably the same as they will send you.
