I've seen this many times before. Usually worn wiper transmission linkage or worn wiper splines on motor and or wiper arms. Usually happens when people try to clean heavy snow without brushing snow off windshields. You can try removing the wiper arms and move the wiper arms so they sit higher on the windshield
What is strange is that its all new parts! Yikes! I got tired of fooling with it and I sent the aftermarket transmission back to Amazon.
I going to install my old stuff, grease it up a bit, and see where we are at. I am hoping that I can just install the original parts and be done with it. It has had a motor replaced in the past, I can tell from the crushed top on the bushing from pliers.
I will just keep the new motor for an emergency.
I was rushed through this by my wife, she needed in the garage for a couple of days, (sorting clothes) and that was my first mistake, I should have just waited until I had the time to do this properly. I ended up breaking a couple of tabs on the plastic piece that goes over the drivers side hood hinge, and I lost my damn boot covers for the splines!
At this point...I am just ready to get it all back together and have wipers again. I hope I can get these arms to work, my old ones were rusty and crappy. This is a repair I am just going to try to get back to what I had before and tackle it when it really breaks. Right now I will say i "serviced it."
