I haven't been driving my tahoe much lately.
Took it out today and I'm getting an almost ABS type pulsing at slow stops. Say 7 mph and under.
I did some googling .Came up with wheel speed sensor possibly?
Coincidentally, I have a slight shimmy at inconsistent speeds.
I'll take it forvan alignment. But thought I'd try you guys based on the symptom

I've had the same issue with the abs and coming to a stop. Been happening a few months. Only happens when it sits all night(when it's cold) but goes away once it's warmed up. I thought maybe there was some kind of metallic debris on the sensor, but idk.

dirty/rusty sensor, or bad sensor or harness, or wheel hub going bad. to confirm you can unplug both front sensors and you may have a abs light/service traction on but you should stop normally without the shudder.
a scanner capable of live data will show which one is giving a funky reading, it may even be a stored code and not throwing the abs/traction control warning.

IIRC, years ago there was a recall or tsb or something on that particular issue. My 01 did it, it was something about rust build up on the sensor ring.
It feels like you weren’t going to stop, it would slow down normally then last minute, before actually stopping, abs would pulse and pedal would drop and pulse and I believe some actually were rear ending other vehicles.

Recall Number
05V379000
Recall Date
08/29/2005

Summary
CERTAIN PICKUP TRUCKS AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES MAY EXPERIENCE UNWANTED ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) ACTIVATION. THIS CONDITION IS MORE LIKELY TO OCCUR IN ENVIRONMENTALLY CORROSIVE AREAS. THIS RECALL WILL BE LAUNCHED IN THE "SALT BELT" STATES OF CONNECTICUT, DELAWARE, ILLINOIS, INDIANA, IOWA, MARYLAND, MASSACHUSETTS, MAINE, MICHIGAN, MINNESOTA, MISSOURI, NEW HAMPSHIRE, NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK, OHIO, PENNSYLVANIA, RHODE ISLAND, VERMONT, WEST VIRGINIA, WISCONSIN AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA ONLY.

Consequence
THIS CAN CAUSE INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCES DURING LOW-SPEED BRAKE APPLICATIONS, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.

What Owners Should Do
DEALERS ARE TO REMOVE THE WHEEL SPEED SENSOR AND THOROUGHLY CLEAN THE WHEEL SPEED SENSOR MOUNTING SURFACE ON THE BEARING, APPLY RUST INHIBITOR TO THE CLEANED SURFACE, GREASE THE MOUNTING SURFACE, REINSTALL THE WHEEL SPEED SENSOR, AND CHECK THE PEAK-TO-PEAK OUTPUT VOLTAGE TO ENSURE THE WHEEL SPEED SIGNAL IS WITHIN SPECIFICATIONS. THE RECALL BEGAN SEPTEMBER 22, 2005. OWNERS MAY CONTACT CHEVROLET AT 1-800-630-2438 OR GMC AT 1-866-996-9463.

Thank you for the replies. The hub is a possibility, i had one replaced but not the other about a year ago. that could explain some of the shimmy. But the recall symptom is exactly what i am getting.
