So do you folks put snow tires on your 4wd Yukons/Tahoes? How do the standard OEM tires handle snow?

Here in NY we have many days when the highways are snow covered. I don't go into deep snow, but when I come home the driveway can be covered in 12-18" show drift that I need to power through. If I'm going to need snow tires, I'd need to factor in that cost when buying the vehicle.

For the Denali 22" wheels, do those come with summer tires or all-season?

My 22"s have all season tyres on them, but if I lived in an area of heavy snow/ice I'd have a dedicated set of winter wheels/tyres. Nothing safer.

I just had 4 rims and real snow tires installed today. I have a 2015 Tahoe LS with 18" wheels. I went with 17" steel wheels with Nokian Hakapillita 265/70R 17 snow tires.Supposed to be the best snow tire made.i have always run 4 snows, all season don't work rubber gets to hard when cold, they now refer to al seaons as 3 season tires,as they are not much good below 45 deg.F .Find out soon.

You absolutely do not need dedicated snow tires on 4WD Yukons for safe driving in the snow. I live in Chicago where snow is common and have never had any issues. Personally I think it is overkill to put snow tires on a massively heavy, long wheel based 4WD vehicle, but to each his own.

You probably won't get stuck as long as you have 4WD and good tread on all-seasons or all-terrains, but you are going to turn and stop a lot better with snow tires.
