So what size rims will REALLY fit my 2015 Yukon?

We're looking at some smaller rims to accommodate cheaper snow tires on our SLT. I'm getting a lot of conflicting opinions on whether it will take 17s (came with 20s). I know up to 2014 will take 17", but the smallest factory option is 18"; most tire sites don't list anything smaller than 18", but TireRack does list 17".

So what's the truth??

Spare wheel i 17×7.5 so yeah 17s will fit. I plan getting Cragar Soft 8s 17" and Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 in 265/70/17. I had Blizzak DM-V1 on 07 Tahoe LTZ and i likex them

I run studded 18's in the winter and 22's in the summer months.

17" rims fit fine. I'm running some 17" OEM Sierra take offs with Hakkapelita R2 SUVs as a winter set. I would have picked up some 18" OEM takeoffs to keep alloys for the winter, but oddly the tires I wanted didn't come as 18s.

Another data point is that the police tahoes (PPV/SSV) come with 17" rims standard.

17x8 Cragar Soft 8 4.5" backspacing and 0 offset part # 3978860 They fit just fine. There is enough clearance to clear caliper. I installed Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 265/70/17 like i had on 07 Tahoe LTZ
I did order Cragar center caps 4.250 part # 29271-1 but i didnt like them because they are too tall and they have some play when installed on Cragar wheels. So i got some chrome Sierra center caps part # 20941992 that comes on 05-16 17" painted or chrome skinned wheels and lug nuts with external threads part # 9595175
I did this because i like my OEM 22" chrome multi spoke wheels and didnt want to ruin them with salt, plus wife is gonna drive it over the winter and dont wanna get any phone calls that she is stuck in snow with her 09 Altima. Im profesisonal truck driver and If it was for me and if i didnt care about stock 22s i would drive in RWD mode with 22s all winter long but didnt wann take chance because wife is gonna drive it

The OD of the ppv tires are smaller than the OD of the none ppv trucks.
