Can I use spare tire wheels as dedicated wheels?

I have already purchased two... They cost less and not concerned with painting them.

Is it a good idea to use these as apposed to purchasing something that will cost me more...

Vehicle is going to be mainly camping truck with trailer on same type of wheels. Mainly just dirt roads, nothing extreme... I will have more aggressive tires mounted.

Nothing wrong with that.
The spares on the trucks are just base model steel wheels anyway.
On a car no. But that is due to them being a doughnut instead of a tire/wheel.
