This is for my 2003 5.3l Tahoe:

1) What is the correct gap?
2) How do I remove the last passenger side plug (closest to the firewall)?
3) You have any pics of this procedure?

Thx in advance!!:rocking:

the gap should be 0.40. removing the last plug passenger side is not easy but it can be done using a socket. just make sure you're engine is cold. like do it early in the am or on a weekend so you dont burn your hand. personally I'd get the new Bosch fusion IRs. they are $21 a plug but they're gap free and give better performance!!

Gap is .04 btw (unless I am mistaken). Those are good plugs though, alot of people use the NGK 55s as well

im running the bosch platinum +4s and they are great and theres no gapping, if you have a knuckle joint for your socket i found it not that bad just becareful pulling the wires

Yup .40. Delcos are good. Can't go wrong with what GM put in there. The last one is a pain but I use a spark plug socket with a short extension and a universal to get it out.

Adjust each plug as needed. Specification Spark plug gap: 1.524 mm (0.060 in) all data says .06 but just get a coin and set it to .04 sorry i said .40 earlier.

Yep, cant remember if they changed it down to .04 or if its just a "performance" thing people do here. probably cant tell much without a heavily modded truck though. Just wanted to make sure the number was cleared up, messed me up when i was trying to do mine too lol
