2008 chevy tahoe 5.3L flex fuel

Hey guys I'm at about 170,000 miles on my Tahoe and I think I've developed a bit of a misfire and bad gas mileage. I think the Tahoe has the original spark plugs and wires still so I am going to replace them.

Rock Auto has AcDelco 41-162 listed as the correct replacement part but when looking on Amazon or other places it can be confusing as to which ones I am supposed to use.

Any suggestions on which plugs and wires would be best for me?

I think that’s the number for the iridium plugs I put into thecopcar at 190k. The original ones were still in it and actually looked okay.

If they are original, I think it is a good time to replace them. I always use Rock Auto with their designation of OE part numbers. They haven't failed me yet... knock on wood. :)

I used the 41-162 recently. And the best set of Belden wires available from NAPA. (I would have used OEM wires but no source nearby at the time)

Happy with both choices.

I have one suggestion. Don’t do number 8 first, it’ll be discouraging. :893Chainsaw-Smilie-
And don’t save it till last because you’ll be tired. o_O

Don't use the 41-110s as they have been counterfeited by the Chicoms and are destroying engines, especially from Amazon and many places on Ebay. If you do want that part number, buy only from Summit Racing, Rock Auto, or a GM Dealership.

748UU/19351570 are the OE wires, not ACDelco Professional.

As for the miss and gas mileage, what do your LTFTs look like? How about the O2 sensors? I'm thinking cats.

@swathdiver I haven't even hooked my scanner up to this Tahoe yet. What should I be looking for as far as sign of failing cats?

The downstream O2 sensor(s) would move a lot like the upstream ones when they are supposed to show little movement which is the sign of a healthy cat.
