Hey guys...a newbie here, and I need help with which spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor to go with. I have read through the forums, and have not gotten a real answer. My Tahoe has 84,000 miles on it, and I have read that going with a hotter plug of 5 rather than 4 will help reduce burning oil on higher mileage engines. Any truth this this?
I am just looking for the best set up for my Tahoe with my specific mileage.
Can someone point me in the right direction with part numbers please?
Thanks for the advice! I really appreciate it.

What is the size of the AC Delco wires? Just curious? Are the MSD a better wire? They are a 8.5mm wire. Will this make a difference?
Thanks for the help.

unknown at this time.
msd are bigger and better delco are 7mm I think but every thing will be cheaper at Amazon. the difference will not be really anything you can "feel". But it is a step in the direction of ignition upgrades. In fact what you pay for Delco locally can get you msd products on Amazon.

Thanks a lot...will the MSD's need to be modified to fit, or will they hook right up with no issues of length?
Thanks again for the help.

I use wire ties, one large to bundle the 4 together and then 4 smaller ones to separate them, you can match the colors to the rest of your truck or you can use std black.

i usually go through summit for all my parts. always a safe choice since its local and its 1 day shipping to me.
MSD wires for me here with ac plugs
msd cap and rotor as well and the coil for a hotter spark

Never heard of a spark plug reducing burning of the oil, just the hotter the spark usually the better fuel economy besides in a supercharger/turbo setup..
