I have a new to me 2011 Tahoe. I believe it's an ssv. It has options 6b2 and 6n6. One is inactive door handles and one is inactive door locks. The doors do lock with the key fob, but obviously my passengers need to be let out of the vehicle every time. The handles are there, just inoperable. Anyone know exactly what parts or pn I need to fix this issue?

After more research what I'm asking is do I need to replace the actuators, or just lock rod and lock knobs?

I have the same vehicle. The rear door unlock handles will work once you pull the panel and attach the cable that is hanging there. It's a very simple fix. Because it was a law enforcement vehicle they leave them disconnected at the assembly line. The window switches are dummy units. You can get functioning ones, off ebay cheap. In order for the power locks to work you will need to order the connecting rod from the dealer. Also, if your rear shoulder belts are not present they are likely tucked away behind the rear pillar where they usually pull out from. Mine were just left there from the assembly line, unused and neatly bundled. You will have to order the anchor bolts from the dealer (do not use standard bolts). All of these things are easy fixes. Search my posts for more info.

After I posted this question I realized I had a few extra min. Why not pull the panel and see what's missing. Lol sure enough all I needed was to engage the cable with the handle. Thanks for your response. Is the connecting rod what attaches to the lock knob? Passenger side has one, drivers does not. Kind of strange.

The lock knob pull button will sit right on top of the linkage.

There's a parts diagram here. Item 5 is the part you are looking for. Be sure to get the right and left ones.

That was one of the first mods we did when we got the Tahoe. The lock knob at the top of the door panel and the linkage were not there. Funny, when we got our '12 Caprice, and was going over it, I discovered a pair of Tahoe lock knobs and links zip-tied together, laying in the spare tire well. Score!

I'm still conflicted on getting the rear window switches, or not. Our only rear seat passengers are our 4-legged kids. Not sure I want them playing with the window switches. o_O

Awesome score!
You could always override the rear windows from the drivers master panel. It's worth it to fix it. Otherwise it will forever be nagging at you in the back of your mind. Lol.

Actually, it doesn't bother me in either vehicle, since I'm rarely back there. IF I run across someone parting a Tahoe, and can get a deal on the switches, I might consider it, but having the inside door latches work is plenty for me.

All I need now is #5. I only need it for the drivers side. Everywhere list as left and rt side. I'm assuming left is drivers side. Can you clarify that?
