A little stumped on this one. 07 escalade will stall when coming to a stop or rpms drop below 700-800, but only after being driven for at least 40 mi or so on the interstate, i have not been able to replicate with in town driving. When it stalls it will not start for an hour or so but it will crank. There is fuel at the rail and the pump is brand new. There are no codes and the stabilitrak message is not popping up when it happens.

I am having the same issue with my 07 Denali. After roughly a 30 mile drive to work I get a very rough idle and often times a stall when I come to a stop. When the engine does not completely stall it surges badly upon acceleration when leaving the stop. I have found that the engine will restart after the stall condition if the accelerator is held to the floor while cranking. I too cannot get the same symptoms with just in town driving. I have tuned the engine up with new plugs and wires, replaced the throttle body, sprayed around the intake searching for a vacuum leak, and verified 60psi fuel pressure.

I am Stumped!!!

I have not had a scan tool connected during the failure only after searching for codes. The engine sounds odd when cranking like it has no compression and is cranking very fast after the stall and will not restart unless the throttle is fully depressed.

Cam sensor failure? ? Had an 8.1 would shut off at different times, no engine light or codes because it just thinks you shut the motor down

Sounds like your throttle motor might be quitting, thus closing the throttle all the way and not letting air into the motor.....

Any news here guys? I have same issue on 2008 Yukon Denali. I also noticed if I tried to crank repeatedly at WOT it eventually started after 10 or 15 attempts. I haven't replaced anything yet - just began happening.

Thanks!
Dean
