Damn, where do you guys find these cars for so cheap? In California where I live there is a thing called market value. It works off the concept of supply, and demand. If there is 10 tahoes, all between the price of X and Z, then fair value is somewhere around Y. If the tahoe that I bought didn't have the engine trouble, it would have been a good price for my area.
I didn't know we had a pissing contest going on for price paid. I once bought a near new .357 ruger GP100 for 250$. they were going for 900$. Am I accepted now because I got a good deal?

I was thinking the same thing, Rock Ola kinda seems like a giant *****. But hey, whatever gets you through the day.

Thanks everyone for all the tips, and ideas that helped me out on trying to bring this motor back to life, I do appreciate it!
Mine was just sitting in the guys yard for a year doing nothing, he already had an NNBS Tahoe, a Silverado, jeep, giant RV, sierra, and I think 2 more cars. The best part is, the trans was rebuilt less than 20k miles ago, and he still only wanted 1500

just did an oil change after 100mi with the seafoam. Oil came out real black, with chunks. Filled it with straight Valvoline, and a wix filter. going to run it and just monitor oil. and not mileage. it still hasn't dripped a drop of oil, or no noticeable oil loss.

Did it smoke with the seafoam like on the youtub vids?

Basically don't live in California. Not that you can help it all that much.

To be honest, $8k isn't that bad for something with 150k or more in my book, but all the work you've had to do makes it hurt a lot more (obviously). If it was just normal wear and tear and typical mileage, it alright.

I think every other guys has probably got a screaming deal on something. I sold my 99 2wd Silverado with 175k for $6k. I feel like that was fair for the truck.

If I got the truck you have with 150k or more and no sludge. I think $8k would alright, maybe a little high but then again, you're in California.

We already plan on moving after we are both vested with our companies. I personally hate california, and everything that it stands for. Although we make great money here, at the end of the day we are taxes so heavily that it really doesn't matter.

looking at TX, one of the Carolinas, AL. and a few other states.

Would live in Bama in a heartbeat. My wife's family lives there and it's great. One of the only states left where there's some common sense.
