Hey guys, I have a 99 Tahoe that has issues. I Pulled into a gas station came back out and it would not start. It ran for a second then died. Sat there for about 15 min. and then it started. It was starting fine when it sits for awhile but would not start when I shut it off and then try to restart it. That went on for about a week. Now it will not start and I dont think the fuel pump runs at all when I turn on the ignition. I cant hear it running and I dont smell any fuel at the throttlebody. The fuel pump and filter were replaced about 8 months ago. Also the check engine light came on during all of this. Any help would be appreciated.

It could be a bad pump. I went through 2 on my 98. You can check fuses and wiring, but just because the fuel pump is newer doesnt rule it out.

Was the replacement fuel pump a good one (oem or ACdelco?) If not, that may be your problem. I've heard of lots of people having problems with cheaper aftermarket fuel pumps failing quickly.
It was a delphi fuel pump with the new wiring harness.

Sounds like a bad fuel pump. Did the replacement have a warranty?
