So, coupla weeks ago my steering box dumped on my driveway. I checked it out and it was leaking from the input seal. I had replaced this box about 50k mi ago with oem reman at a local garage. I decided to do the seal job myself and ordered the part locally for about 8 bucks. In the meantime I put in some steering fluid with stop leak and it seemed to slow the leak down enough to drive until the part came in the next day. After one more fluid reload and a day and a half later the leaking stopped altogether. It's been holding tight for close to two weeks. So what would you do? Do I assume that the seal has even successfully reconditioned to the point that I shouldn't worry about it? Does this stuff actually work?
