1997 Tahoe 2 door 4WD.
So I wasn't able to solve the Jittery steering with a new steering sensor as I had about two years ago. The truck ended up needing a new pitman arm and idler arm as well along with an alignment.
Disconnecting the EVO sensor behind the PS pump appears to eliminate the "jitters" but steering was way too loose for my personal tastes. Also I'm awaiting the U shaped solenoid bypass fix from GM, and I suspect that may make the steering even lighter/looser feeling.
So in goes a new steering box with a tighter torsion spring(medium heavy) from a very reputable gear shop.
This new box has fixed the super light feel BUT....
Now my steering feels noticably easier to the right than it does to the left.
What can my problem be?
Gear shop will send me a new box if I decide that's the path I want to follow.
Thanks in advance.
