Steering Wheel Emblem Repair - Possible Solutions?

I replaced the old peeling steering wheel spoke covers/trim pieces today with brand new GM brushed aluminum look covers and the wheel is looking pretty good, but the bowtie emblem in the center was also peeling. I scraped the remaining gold film off with my finger nail and it looks much better now, but still isn't the greatest.

Does anyone know of an overlay such as a vinyl sticker, or something similar, that will make that emblem more attractive without spending a fortune to purchase another airbag which would include the cover with the emblem on it? It sucks staring at that ugly thing now that the rest of the wheel is perfect.

Jacob (07Burb) did it (I think). You can also get brand new emblems off eBay without purchasing the entire airbag.

Mine was dented. I got the emblem only from eBay for $20. It was super easy to replace...like 5 mins.

Awesome! This is the best solution. I didn't realize that the emblem was available separate from the airbag assembly. Just ordered one! How did you remove your old one? Gently pry it off?
