Ok, so I've read all the forum posts on here and a few other websites that discuss the steering wheel speed sensor and the issues that it entails. I even went so far as to find the sensor and inspect it, ANDDDD bought one to replace mine. I took my wives car to a shop about a year ago complaining about a sharp clicking noise near the brakes or wheels when the car is pulling into a parking spot or around a parking lot. The guys there changed the ....rods, or joints or something, it was awhile ago and I don't remember what it was, needless to say it didn't fix the problem I had at all and I still got charged like 300 bucks. Swearing never to go back to another shop and just do it myself, as i'm moderately mechanically inclined. Ever since she got the 'Hoe back she complained that the steering was loose, me writing her off as whining about it, I (stupidly) ignored her. Now I've had to switch cars with her and it's seriously an issue I should have dealt with awhile ago. I wish I knew what I know now when I picked it up from the shop alas such is life.

I bought a Steering wheel sensor, found out how to change it, went to my car to find it....and It's not there... Like it's gone. Someone ripped it out broke the clips from the grey ring that's supposed to house it and just couldn't be bothered with ordering the parts to fix it right. As I'm trying to put the new one in....The cable that it plugs into isn't there.. It's just not there, I looked everywhere!!! I know it's supposed to sit on the top of the steering column and it's in a taped harness that's a pain to get untaped. There's nothing there on my 'Hoe. I don't know if the mechanic decided to strip it out when he broke the sensor so as not to alarm me or what, but I cannot find it. Does anybody know where that cable is supposed to connect to and at what junction? Internal CPU, switch box anything?? I have to track it down and I'm running out of ideas after spending about 2 hours upside down trying to find a non existing wiring harness.

Any ideas at all??
