Well I have posted a couple times and it seems nobody will help me, but Im gonna try again. I have an 05 Tahoe LT and the a/c stopped. From what I can tell with the gauges I have the system is of Freon. I would like to know how to jump the a/c clutch from the relay? Or jump it from the low pressure switch? Can it be jumped from the low pressure switch? That's where a buddy tried to do it. I have no clue if he did it right or was even in the right spot. I just want to know how to jump whatever I need to jump to see if I can get the compressor on. I have a volt meter if you think I should be checking things that way, I am not the best with electrical is all so I need someone to walk me thought it. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Your gauges should have shown equal pressure on the low and high side when compressor is not engaged. Whether it is full or not is yet to be determined. The cycling switch is at the accumulator and when you unplug it and just use a paperclip to cross the 2 plugs and then the compressor should kick on, hopefully.

ok...that's what my buddy did and the compressor did not turn on. So where would be the next place to check? Does the compressor/clutch have to be working for the system to take a charge? I know its not the greatest, but I bught one of those a/c charge cans with the gauge built in. According to that cheesy thing it is full, or maybe Im doing it wrong. I have been told I can jump it at the fuse box under hood where the relay is. Or is that the same as jumping it from the switch?...thanks @raidderon

Well, then check all related fuses and connection for clean and tight. Yes the clutch needs to engage to verify a full charge. The can like you have is IMO dangerous but some use them. Don't even think about attaching and trying to add refrigerant till you get the compressor to engage. Use your DVOM and check for power at the clutch and back track. If the cycling switch has power thru one of the wires then crossing it with a paper clip should bypass the switch and send power upstream. Sometimes just unplugging wire connections and relays and then reinstalling can make a clean contact.
