I have an early 2015 Tahoe LT. The radio UI is so stupid I can't even believe that there isn't something I'm missing in the options or settings but I have been through it 1000x and I don't believe I am.
The whole thing is not intuitive at all but my primary grievance remains that my "favorites" bar does not stay docked to the bottom of the screen. Particularly when I'm on the main "radio" screen. See picture below. In order to access it, I have to go to the home screen and hit the arrow in the lower right of the screen to bring it up. Or if I go to my nav screen, the favorites bar is docked there (I tend to leave nav on all the time now because of this).
What prompted me to start thinking about this again and get frustrated again is that I was in a friend's 2014 Corvette the other day. His MyLink radio is virtually identical to mine in terms of the interface. EXCEPT on his radio screen, the same one in my screen shot below, his favorites bar is indeed docked to the bottom of the screen. WTF?
Is this some kind of version issue with the radio software? Would a dealer perhaps be able to flash a new version for me and upgrade me? It blows my mind that the 2014 radio had this very basic and common sense "feature" and it went away for 2015.
