I had a remote start with alarm installed. They didn't disable my stock alarm, is there a way I can disable myself? They told me just not to use it, but when I leave my vehicle I hit the lock button on the drivers door which arms the stock alarm. Any way around it?

don't hit the lock button.
Create a NEW habit by using the alarm fob instead. That is why you bought an alarm.

I have both aftermarket and stock. I do like the stock to enagage as an added protection (anti-theft). If they disable my remote start, then I still have the stock. At least they can't start the car.
