Ok so I am trying to upgrade the stock system to be better. Seems like a waste, but that's ok. I had some so-so lows and mids with the stock system rear speakers where toast. Overall its wasn't so bad, but the new speakers are just mids and highs . I have tweaked the bass +++ and toned the tweeters down.
+++++I was wondering if I should plug the door speaker direct and leave the tweeter to go to the stock Head Unit vs the crossover that I was given.
Overall, I am super happy just picked her up from the shop last night. Besides a few door clips that fell victim to age all went smoothly.
- Picking up the SS Emerald MP from the shop.
-Lucky Charms that came with the rear speaker order
-Finalizing the Passenger side with a component MTX system.
>
-Pulling a MacGyver to keep stock plugs on the rear audio
-Rigging the component speakers. (still debating to use stock crossover or just roll with this setup??! ACK!
Overall, for the pain and suffering for new speakers it was not too bad.. Good thing I am fairly creative with stuff. I would have used a soldering gun, but it was SHOT.... . Also, I may need to give in for a Head Unit only 2 lights work for the display
