well

idk if this is the issue with that or not, but my uncle pointed out to me over the weekend about the little tab on the side of the volume button

i guess this is supposed to be the variable voilume control thing where its tied into your accelerator, so when you accelerate it jumps the volume

we got talking about that because we were talking bout his harley that increases volume with the throttle increase

dont know if turning that tab all the way down may fix it, but its worth a shot, lol

I've got the same problem with my 97 Yukon. It happened the first time almost a year ago, then no trouble until about a week ago when it started occilating from full volume to zero and back. I haven't searched the schematic yet, but I can stop the problem every time by cycling the fan speed control back and forth once or twice.

I don't know why climate controls are affecting the audio system, but its destroyed every speaker in the vehicle.

Hammerhead, :welcome:

The radio was designed as verified by the wiring diagram to compensate for change is vehicle speed but not or increased interior hvac noise so you may internal electrical gremlins in the radio itself as well that are effeced but the amount of voltage change from moving your fan switch. Or rubbing wire in the back that may be shorting out the radio.
