Hey everyone... I've been lurking around on the forum for a WHILE now and find a LOT of helpful information...

But I have a question that i can't find the answer to...

My mom has a fully loaded LTZ 07 tahoe, and I have a 08 LS.

I will be getting some 24's Monday and was planning to do a drop as well... the problem is that my moms sits stock around 3 inches higher in the front and a few inches higher in the back than mine. Both trucks are the way they were when they were purchased. Is this normal? Or did the dealership throw some sort of drop on mine?

This is the only good side picture I could find of mine that shows the front and rear ride height.

The rear normally sits an inch or two higher.... but there is around 700lbs worth the audio crap in the back, which is why I wanted to go 2/3 and have everything sit level.

I think you got it blueflamed03...

I'm guessing her LTZ is 4WD and your LS is 2WD....

LTZ Autoride versus your LS non-autoride suspension might be a factor in height difference

With a 2/3 kit, the rear is still going to have a sag with all that audio equipment you have in there. More than what you have now.

Sorry that I didn't include this in the original post, but both tahoes are 100% 2wd.

The reason I want to go with a 2/3 is that under normal circumstances the 2/3 drop still leaves the rear a little higher than the front, and with the sag I have it would make it perfectly level.

If you can't see the picture then flickr is blocked on the computer you are reading the post from.

I'm just trying to figure out if I already have a drop installed or not. When I bought my truck from the dealership I had to replace the tires after 15k miles because the front camber was so far off... this made me wonder if they had installed a drop or not.

Thanks for the help!
