thanks for the reply, i pretty much did that, started checking wires inside first and found nothing, went around under the hood, nothing, about to give up i went under the truck and was wiggling around wires, found out there was a bad ground going from the frame to the back of the block, the bolt was loose for it, wiggle it just right all that stuff would cut out, reached a ratchet up in there and tightened it down and now we are good. one problem down, next to go is the intake gasket, leakin oil down the back of the block.
i just got the truck, (paid a bit too much for it but it was what i was lookin for) now trying to perfect things haha, not to bad for a 180k truck, was pretty well taken care of, has a rebuilt engine and trans with who knows how many miles on them, i took my injectors out and put new screens and gaskets in and put em back in, checked and set the timing (it was a hair retarded) i changed every fluid when i got it and they looked pretty good to begain with, very little rust, just above the tail pipe and behind the drivers door, really crapy bondo job down the side i didnt notice till i got it home
and had to put $600 into my ac to get it to work
i do have another electrical related question, any idea how to change the lights for the heater control panel? i can pull them out but cant get them to come out of there socket, is that something you have to buy a whole new socket and all?
