Stuck in 4 wheel low

My Yukon is stuck in 4 wheel low. How do I get it back to 2 wheel drive? 2006 Yukon

mine did this once, just had to let it sit and cool off for a few hrs, then the actuator worked again, that was in the heat of summer, during winter ive never had a issue.

Put it in neutral while you’re rolling foward or backwards the switch 4wd low to 4wd high…as you’re slowly moving 1-2 mph max then you should be able to go right to 2wd from there.

What are your symptoms (dash indications)?

If there is nothing malfunctioning with your transfer case, the process is outlined on Pages 2-30 / 2-31 of the owners manual:

Shifting into 4LO

To shift to the 4 lo position, the ignition must be in RUN
and the vehicle must be stopped or moving less than
3 mph (4.8 km/h) with the transmission in NEUTRAL (N).
The preferred method for shifting into 4LO is to have
your vehicle moving 1 to 2 mph (1.6 to 3.2 km/h). Press
and release the 4 lo switch. You must wait for the
4LO indicator light to stop flashing and remain
illuminated before shifting your transmission in gear.

If the 4 lo switch is pressed when your vehicle is in gear
and/or moving, the 4LO indicator light will flash for
30 seconds and not complete the shift unless your
vehicle is moving less than 3 mph (4.8 km/h) and the
transmission is in NEUTRAL (N). After 30 seconds
the transfer case will return to the setting last chosen.

Shifting Out of 4LO

To shift from 4LO to 4HI, AUTO 4WD or 2HI your
vehicle must be stopped or moving less than 3 mph
(4.8 km/h) with the transmission in NEUTRAL (N) and
the ignition in RUN. The preferred method for shifting out
of 4LO is to have your vehicle moving 1 to 2 rnph
(1.6 to 3.2 km/h). Press and release the 4HI,
AUTO 4WD or 2HI switch. You must wait for the 4HI,
AUTO 4WD or 2HI indicator light to stop flashing
and remain illuminated before shifting your transmission
into gear.

If the 4HI, AUTO 4WD or 2HI switch is pressed when
your vehicle is in gear and/or moving, the 4HI,
AUTO 4WD or 2HI indicator light will flash for
30 seconds but will not complete the shift unless your
vehicle is moving less than 3 mph (4.8 km/h) and
the transmission is in NEUTRAL (N).

ALSO:

Excessively shifting the transfer case into or out of the
different modes may cause the transfer case to
enter the shift protection mode. This will protect the
transfer case from possible damage and will only allow
the transfer case to respond to one shift per 10
seconds. The transfer case may stay in this mode for
up to three minutes

Yes I looked in the owners mabual. Thank you for reminding me! Nothing I can do to get it out of 4lo. The 4lo light stays solid and will not flash

I got the 'clunk' when it went into 4lo but will not come out of 4lo

Are there any DIC messages?
Any issues noted when it shifted into 4LO?
Have you previously shifted into / out of 4LO successfully?
Have you driven it a short distance in 4LO before attempting to shift out of 4LO?

I have had this issue in the past if the vehicle was not driven after shifting into 4LO (ie messing around in the driveway).
