Stuck on defrost!!

My heater/ac switch is defaulted to defrost. I was told this was electrical but don't know what to check. Don't know if this can be fixed or if I should start checking the scrapyards.

I had that problem once in another vehicle. Found a vacuum hose that had broken. Replaced it and fixed the AC.
