I have a stupid question guys.

is the Escalade black the same black as the Tahoes???

It is if it is the standard 'onyx' black ... paint code 41U I think.

Not the same as carbon black metallic.

Yes, unless you have the carbon black metallic you're good. Just check inside your glove box, towards the bottom of the sticker it will have the 41U paint code there. Then you'll know fo' sure.
