The Z71 Suburban is not even 2 years old and only has 20k on the clock. I just noticed this today and I'm freaking pissed! My 01 Tahoe did the same thing but not in less than 2 years.

What to do?

Could this be covered under warranty?

Calling the dealer tomorrow but I figured I would ask here 1st.

Don't see why it wouldn't be.

That will be a tough one. Our Acura did the same thing and the initial response was "it's normal wear and tear and not covered". Obviously this is an apples to carrots comparison, but wanted to give you my experience. Good luck!

If you're within 3/36 it should be covered. Lots of things can take play for it to do that, like your seating position, how you get in and out of the vehicle (if you roll/slide out constantly). Your NBS seats were also a little wider so your seating position could have been different as well

That's odd and I'd certainly hope it'd be covered! My 07 with 138k has zero cracking so I'd definitely not consider that "normal wear and tear". If they try that with you I'd fight the ruling.

The truck turns 2years old in October (28th?). There is no reason this should happen so soon. My wife's2006 Acura MDX just started doing it and we've had it since new and it has almost 110K on the clock.

It should be covered under warranty. Make sure NOT to use junk like ArmorAll but an actual leather treatment on the seats regularly. I like the stuff Zaino Bros. makes. Smells good and keeps the leather and vinyl pliable.
