suede on door panels

Hey what's up guys. I read the how to suede you door panels on the tech page. My question is that on my bottom half of the door panel which I plan to put the suede on look like it has **** carpet. I was wondering do i try to remove the carpet or spray and apply over it? Thanks

I would remove it, imo.

That's what i thought. How would I go about removing that piece?

I believe the carpet is just glued on there so you could probably peel it off.

Alright this is my first time doing somthing like this. So I'm just going to bite the bullet and knock it out. If they come out good I'm doing the headliner next

Yea if my panels come out decent that's what I plan to do next. But its been a hassle finding suede for me. I spent 4 hours one day looking for some with no luck. But I'm interested to see alxs2010 interior I haven't seen any nbs interior with any black. If anyone knows where they stock suede please throw me some ideas.
