Sun roof visor ?

Does anyone know if the visor for the sunroof automatically retracts when the sun roof is opened?
I have something rattling around up there and I think it might be the linkage for the visor.

Does your shade make a screeching noise when you open it? This happened to me and the piece fell out of the track an was rolling around. You'll have to get up there and look around.

Yes it does

Manual: "Press and release the rear side of the button located in
the front overhead console to express-open the glass
panel and sunshade."

It'd would make zero sense for the visor to stay closed when the sunroof is opened.
