Unfortunately, I have early signs of the glass permanent seal chipped off. No idea how:
Start applying new seal from the glass outside. Silicone spray helps to slide it over the mating edge.
Now, you can see how the new seal does not completely overlap the glass, as it should:
So flip glass outside surface out and, I used my thumb to drive seal all the way onto the glass. Took several complete rounds like this around the entire seal. It gently pops where it should.
Reinstall the glass. It should be slightly higher in the rear, tilted forward.
Where I had chipped rubber "gasket" edge, I packed seal inside with dielectric grease, for additional sealing. Then, sprayed it over, after install, with liquid sealant spray. Won't hurt.
Entire process, no rush, took about hour plus.
