I have a 2013 Tahoe LT. Over the past two years I've had numerous problems with my suspension (Ball joints, tie rod ends, etc.). Now I'm thinking my shocks and/or springs are shot. Dealer said they were fine since the shocks weren't leaking (and in that instance my issues, like the truck hopping all over the place were due to the alignment) that they were fine. I now do mostly highway driving and would like to lower the truck slightly to improve handling at speed.
The problem is that the rest of my driving is done on roads that would be better if they were unpaved, so I need durability as well. I was considering putting the PPV suspension on my truck, but was worried about the tire choices in that size. Also, I can't have the truck ride too rough as my fiance has a bad back and sometimes can get queasy when things get too rough. I am going to need tires soon and would hate to put the stock size back on only to have them not fit with the drop, and I'm aware of all the problems with the speedo and odometer that come with that big of a size change. Currently I'm running 255/75r17 AT's.
Any help/comments/follow up questions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
